Highlights of NASCAR's changes on pit road in 2015:
" Number of officials on pit road during race reduced from 43 to 10.
" 45 HD cameras will be mounted on the grandstand side of each track and directed toward pit road to monitor pit stops and officials call or clear penalties.
" Every camera looks at two pit stalls and the cameras record 100 percent of the race.
" Video feeds from cameras are fed to a production truck in the TV compound where eight NASCAR officials monitor stops for violations.
" Pit road speeding penalties will still be called from race control based on scoring loops.
" Pit stalls are laser measured
" Missing Lug Nuts are no longer a penalty.
" Fueling can start once car is stopped.
" Fueling can continue until car leaves pit stall.

Chase clinch scenarios at New Hampshire: Only eight races remain before the 16-driver Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup field is set. Here's what we know:
#4-Kevin Harvick has checked off two of the three Chase criteria boxes. He has the multiple wins that guarantees a spot among the top 16 winners, and at Kentucky, he locked up a top 30 spot. All he needs to do now is start each of the remaining races in the regular season.
#48-Jimmie Johnson and #88-Dale Earnhardt Jr. can join Harvick this weekend in New Hampshire. Both Hendrick Motorsports drivers already have the multiple wins that guarantee them a spot among the top 16 winners (even if there's a new winner in each of the remaining eight races). They can lock up a top 30 spot at New Hampshire this weekend.
#22-Joey Logano could also join Harvick, but only with a victory.
With help in the form of poor finishes by drivers around the 30th place bubble, a victory for #78-Martin Truex Jr. or #2-Brad Keselowski would give either multiple wins and a possible top 30 place clinch.(NASCAR)(7-16-2015)

How to Calculate Track Speeds: use the formula Speed = Distance divided by Time. Distance is Track Length, and Lap Time into Hours. Once hour is 3600 seconds, so the calculation for a 48 second lap at Daytona(2.5 miles) would be: Speed = 2.5 x (3600/48), = 2.5 x 75 = 187.500mph. For a 19 second lap at Bristol(.533 miles): Speed = .533 x (3600/19), = .533 x 189.474 = a speed of 100.990mph

No More Chassis Selections: Recently, six teams stopped posting chassis selections on their race preview.
This leaves only a few [5-8] teams posting chassis selections.
Two years ago 25-28 teams posted chassis selections in their race previews.
It dropped to about 14 in the early part of 2015 and now just a few teams.
Will no longer post Chassis Selections as most are not available

Left-side -- 87.64 in. (2,226 mm);
Right-side -- 88.35 in. (2,244 mm)

Minimum Recommended Inflation:
Left Front -- 12 psi; Left Rear -- 12 psi;
Right Front -- 30 psi; Right Rear -- 27 psi

Notes: Teams in the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series will run the same tire codes at New Hampshire this weekend . . . this is the same combination of left- and right-side tires these teams have run at New Hampshire since 2012 . . . this is the only track at which either of these two tire codes will be run in 2015 . . . as on most NASCAR ovals one mile or less in length, teams will not run inner liners in their tires at New Hampshire.
NASCAR K&N Pro Series East: Goodyear will also provide tires for the K&N Series at New Hampshire . . . tire codes will be D-2931 on the left-side and D-2934 on the right-side . . . this is the first time these teams have run this tire set-up at New Hampshire . . . these tire codes have previously been run by K&N Series teams at Iowa and Phoenix . . . Goodyear will bring 200 tires per side for the event . . . teams are allowed two sets each -- one for practice and one for qualifying/race.
