  • Chevy clinches the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Manufacturer Championship: #88-Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s victory in the Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500 at Phoenix International Raceway on Sunday clinched the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Manufacturers' Championship for Chevrolet. It marks the 13th consecutive year and 39th time overall that the Bowtie Brand has won the prestigious title in NASCAR's premiere series. It is the third Manufacturers' award for the Chevrolet SS race car. "Winning the Manufacturers' Championship is one of the goals we set at the beginning of every season," said Jim Campbell, U.S. Vice President, Performance Vehicles and Motorsports. "This award is the result of great teamwork by the owners, drivers, crew chiefs, crews and technical partners. Special thanks to the Chevrolet powertrain team, along with the engine shops at Hendrick Motorsports and Earnhardt-Childress Racing for delivering the right combination of power, fuel economy, and reliability throughout the entire season. Congratulations to everyone who has made this special achievement possible for Chevrolet." In the 35 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races run to date in the 2015 season, Chevrolet drivers and teams have captured 15 victories. Chevrolet won its first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Manufacturers' Championship in 1958. The Team Chevy drivers who have contributed so far this year to the Manufacturers' points that achieved the title for Chevrolet are: #48-Jimmie Johnson (five wins), #4-Kevin Harvick (three wins), #88-Dale Earnhardt, Jr. (three wins), #41-Kurt Busch (two wins), #24-Jeff Gordon (one win) and #78-Martin Truex, Jr. (one win).(Team Chevy)(11-16-2015)

  • Chevy can clinch 39th manufacturers' championship: If the top-finishing Chevy at Phoenix places 10th or better, the company will capture its 13th consecutive manufacturers' championship and the 39th in its history (NASCAR), the worst a Chevy driver has finished as the highest finishing driver at a race was at Kentucky, when Jeff Gordon was the highest finishing Chevy driver with a 7th place finish.(11-11-2015)

  • Harvick's win is 750th for Chevy: In dominating fashion, Kevin Harvick won the AAA 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Dover International Speedway in his #4 Budweiser/Jimmy John's Chevy SS by leading 355 circuits of the 400-lap event. The victory advanced the defending champion to the next stage in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. This was Harvick's third win of the season, his first at Dover; and sixth consecutive victory for Team Chevy at the 1.0-mile concrete track. In addition, the victory marked the 750th for Chevy in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, more than any other manufacturer. It is the 48th win for the Chevy SS since its debut in 2013. Fonty Flock, driving a '55 Chevy, scored the manufacturer's first-ever victory in the series on March 26, 1955, at Columbia (S.C.) Speedway. "To be the first manufacturer to reach 750 wins is a credit to all of the drivers and teams who have partnered or worked with Chevrolet over all of these decades," said Jim Campbell, US Vice President Performance Vehicles & Motorsports. "These victories - from the very first by Fonty Flock 60 years ago, to Kevin Harvick's today, to all of the others in-between - are a result of tremendous teamwork involving owners, drivers, crew chiefs, crews and technical partners."(Chevy Racing)(10-5-2015)

  • Chevrolet On The Verge Of Its 750th Win: With one more visit to Victory Lane, Chevrolet would notch its 750th NASCAR Sprint Cup Series win. Here are some numbers detailing Chevrolet's NSCS history:
76 different drivers have piloted a Chevrolet to Victory Lane
30 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championships
38 Manufacturers' championships - including the last 12
70 different tracks where Chevrolet drivers have won a race
    23 Daytona 500 wins
Jeff Gordon boasts the most wins in a Chevrolet (92), followed by Jimmie Johnson (74), Dale Earnhardt (73), Darrell Waltrip (60) and Cale Yarborough (48). Last week, Chevrolet's 12-race win streak at Indianapolis - the longest active streak by a manufacturer at any track - was snapped. Chevrolet has won the last six races at Pocono, the new longest active streak at any track.(NASCAR)(7-30-2015)

Points awarded as follows:
The points system mirrors the owner championship points structure.
Points will be awarded to the single highest finisher for each car manufacturer in each championship event according to the finishing position awarded for each race.
Specifically, in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, points will be awarded as follows (43-1, plus bonus points).
Three additional bonus points will be awarded to the manufacturer that wins the race with the exception of
of the Championship race at Homestead, the four drivers in the Chase do not receive any bonus points for leading laps.
The single highest finisher for each manufacturer will receive one additional bonus point for leading a lap, and one additional bonus point for leading the most laps.
Example: In a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, if a Toyota finishes in each of the top three positions and the winning Toyota leads the most laps, and a Chevy finishes in fourth position without leading a lap, Toyota will receive 48 points and Chevy will receive 40 points.
