Summer Camp

All professional athletes have a high level of athletic ability, so what separates the guy who is riding the bench from the one who is starring in the highlight reels? Well, one thing great athletes have in common is the desire to continually improve their game.

Last season, football player Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals had a playoff run to remember. He set records for most catches (30), most yards (546) and most touchdowns (7) as his team made it all the way to the Super Bowl. But even after such a great season, Larry was determined to take his game to the next level.

Already known for his conditioning and off-season workouts, he decided to hold a summer training camp. He invited some of the best players in the league, and stars like Greg Jennings, Lee Evans and DeAngelo Hall all made the trip with one common goal in mind-to bring their game to the next level.

Each day they worked hard on the field, trying to improve their speed, strength, agility, and quickness. They studied plays, and worked on technique and route running. Larry even hired a chef so they could focus on eating right, and fueling their bodies for the long workouts. Former stars like Jerry Rice and Chris Carter even came to the camp to help coach the workouts!

And all that hard work in the off-season has paid off big time, as all the players who attended camp started the season in better shape and more prepared than ever. Larry's commitment and perseverance has made him into a great player. His desire to work hard and keep learning could make him one of the best of all time.
